These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of CROWN, including the CROWN iOS app, the CROWN website, and related services.

By using CROWN, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use CROWN.

1. About CROWN

CROWN is a Biblical Life Companion designed to help people move:

Life → Scripture → Life.

CROWN can help you:

• read and explore Scripture
• bring real-life situations into conversation
• understand biblical context
• reflect
• identify practical next steps
• continue those steps through My Walk
• use Voice and other supported features where available

CROWN is a tool.

Scripture remains the authority.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use CROWN.

By using CROWN, you represent that you meet this age requirement and are legally able to agree to these Terms.

3. CROWN Does Not Speak for God

CROWN does not claim divine authority.

CROWN cannot verify private revelation or tell you with certainty that:

• God told you to do something
• God has privately revealed a specific decision to you
• a generated answer is God's personal instruction for your life

CROWN may help you compare a question, belief, impression, or situation with Scripture and responsible biblical interpretation.

You remain responsible for your own decisions, discernment, and actions.

4. Scripture and AI Content

Official Scripture text shown as Bible text in CROWN is provided through CROWN's Bible content layer and applicable authorized or licensed sources.

AI-generated responses are different from Scripture.

AI may assist with:

• explanation
• context
• reflection
• comparison of interpretations
• questions
• practical next steps

AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate.

You should verify important biblical claims against Scripture.

5. Not Professional Advice

CROWN is not a substitute for:

• medical care
• mental-health care
• legal advice
• financial advice
• emergency services
• professional counseling
• pastoral care
• trusted human community

Do not delay or avoid qualified professional help because of something generated by CROWN.

If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service.

6. Safety Features

CROWN may interrupt or redirect a conversation when our safety systems identify a potentially urgent or harmful situation.

Safety support may operate differently from normal CROWN conversations.

Safety features are designed to prioritize immediate human help where appropriate.

They are not a guarantee that every dangerous or urgent situation will be detected.

7. Free, Plus, and Pro

CROWN may offer multiple service levels.

The features currently associated with each tier are displayed in the app before purchase.

Free access includes core Bible reading functionality and other features identified in the app.

Plus adds eligible CROWN text intelligence, contextual Scripture features, My Walk, Memory where available, and other Plus features shown in the app.

Pro includes Plus features and eligible CROWN Voice functionality.

Pro currently includes 50 Voice minutes per monthly entitlement window, including for annual Pro subscribers.

Technical, safety, fair-use, and per-session limits may also apply where displayed or reasonably necessary to provide the service safely and reliably.

8. Subscriptions

Paid CROWN subscriptions purchased in the iOS app are processed through Apple.

Subscriptions may be offered on monthly or annual billing periods.

The price, billing period, features, and applicable conditions are displayed before you confirm a purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled through Apple before the next renewal in accordance with Apple's terms.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple subscription settings.

Cancelling stops future renewals.

Access normally continues until the end of the period already paid for, subject to Apple's applicable terms.

Deleting the CROWN app does not cancel an Apple subscription.

9. Purchases and Refunds

Apple processes payments for CROWN purchases made through the App Store.

CROWN does not directly approve, deny, or issue refunds for App Store purchases.

Refund requests must be made through Apple.

Refund eligibility is determined by Apple under its policies and applicable law.

10. Restore Purchases

Where supported, you can restore eligible App Store purchases through CROWN or Apple's applicable purchase systems.

You are responsible for using the Apple Account associated with the original purchase.

11. Changes to Features and Pricing

CROWN will continue to evolve.

We may add, change, improve, replace, suspend, or discontinue features.

We may also change future subscription pricing.

Changes affecting an existing subscription will be handled in accordance with Apple's rules and applicable law.

Nothing in this section removes rights that cannot legally be waived.

12. Your Content

You retain your rights in the personal content you submit to CROWN.

You give CROWN and the service providers required to operate CROWN a limited permission to process that content only as reasonably necessary to:

• provide the feature you requested
• maintain and secure the service
• comply with law
• enforce these Terms
• protect users and CROWN

This permission does not transfer ownership of your personal content to CROWN.

13. Acceptable Use

You may not use CROWN to:

• violate applicable law
• harm or exploit another person
• attempt unauthorized access to CROWN systems
• bypass subscription, entitlement, security, safety, or usage controls
• automate abusive requests
• interfere with service availability
• reverse engineer the service where prohibited by law
• use CROWN infrastructure to distribute malware or malicious content
• impersonate CROWN or falsely represent AI output as official CROWN or biblical authority

14. Intellectual Property

CROWN's software, branding, logo, original design, written product content, and other original materials are owned by CROWN or its licensors.

Bible translations, Scripture text, and third-party materials remain subject to the rights of their respective owners and licensors.

Your use of CROWN gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these Terms.

It does not transfer ownership of CROWN intellectual property to you.

15. Third-Party Services

CROWN relies on third-party services to provide parts of the experience, which may include:

• Apple
• AI infrastructure providers
• Voice infrastructure
• Bible content providers
• hosting providers
• communications and support providers

Those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

CROWN is not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

16. Service Availability

We aim to keep CROWN reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Features may occasionally be unavailable because of:

• maintenance
• network conditions
• provider outages
• software errors
• security issues
• circumstances outside our control

Bible features that do not depend on an unavailable AI provider may continue to work independently where technically possible.

17. Suspension or Termination

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to:

• protect users
• protect CROWN systems
• investigate fraud or abuse
• comply with law
• enforce these Terms

You may stop using CROWN at any time.

Stopping use of the app does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription.

18. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CROWN is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

• every AI response will be correct
• every relevant Scripture passage will be identified
• every safety concern will be detected
• every feature will always be available
• CROWN will produce a particular spiritual, emotional, or personal outcome

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CROWN and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer-protection rights.

20. Apple Terms

Your use of the CROWN iOS app may also be subject to Apple's applicable App Store and end-user license terms.

Where Apple terms apply to your purchase or license, those terms operate alongside these CROWN service Terms.

21. Governing Law and Consumer Rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits any rights, protections, or jurisdiction rules that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

Where legally permitted and where the user is acting in a business or professional capacity, the courts of Hamburg, Germany shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as CROWN evolves.

The current version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date.

Where required by law, we will provide additional notice before material changes take effect.
